How many of each Democratic canidate’s pledged delegates are in traditionally Republican states?

Obama won the Democratic primary in Wyoming, but Wyoming is a traditionally Republican state (ie Dick Cheney, Big Oil, ranching, and guns.) How many of each democratic canidates primary wins are in states that are almost always Republican?

I didn’t know that’s all Republicans cared about. Apparently us conservatives are all shallow gun wielding cheney lovers. I’d continue complaining but unfortunately I need to tend to my oil rig.

Can a religious country claim to be democratic? Or is a religious state inherently elitist?

I am particularly talking about Israel…..I understand that 20% of the population are Arabs, and that they are regarded as 2nd class citizens. How can Israel claim to be "democratic" if Arabs are treated as 2nd class citizens and if its a "Jewish" state?

I’m not denying Israel the right to be called a Jewish state, but if it is a Jewish state, isn’t that by definition NOT a democracy? Wouldn’t it be closer to a theocracy?

Although Israel is in fact a Jewish state but since its government and government institutions are secular it is not a theocracy.
Since it is a democracy in a similar model as other Western style democracies, then it is a democracy.

Posted by admin on May 27th, 2010 and filed under democratic | 11 Comments »

I hear so much about the religion of the republican candidates but not the democratic candidates. Is Barak Obama muslim? What religion are they?

Who cares what religion they are? Electing a President should be about real issues, the character of the candidate, and what they can do for the U.S. as a whole.

How will the Democratic party treat Hillary Clinton after the election?

Posted by admin on May 17th, 2010 and filed under democratic | 10 Comments »

It was sad to see the Democratic party and the media stab Hillary in the back. It almost seemed like the party machine discarded someone who was faithful Democratic party for years. Will Hillary get the respect she deserves after the election?
It was sad to see her destruction by her own party.
Hillary was a symbol for many women. Now that symbol is gone.

She will most likely be the Senate majority leader and they have floated her the idea of NYS governor.
