Delaware Education Secretary Lillian Lowery joins Governor Jack Markell in his weekly message as they pay tribute to Delaware teachers. Delaware has 204 schools, 8411 teachers and 126,801 students. As Delaware concludes celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week, Governor Markell and Education Secretary Lillian acknowledge the daily work of teachers and their critical role in providing Delaware students with the education they need to make a difference in the 21st century economy.
