The majority of young and uniformed voters vote for Democrats. Democrats make a lot of promises that sound great to younger voters, such as nationalized health care, not partaking in necessary wars, etc. Younger voters are not aware of the negative aspects to all of the Democratic politicians promises.
How can the Republican party draw in more young voters? How can the conservative agenda be made more appealing to young voters?
Today, the republican party does attract the "older/white" demographic, but it’s been like that for a while now, due to the changing opinion of the public on several social issues. I think that true conservatism is "dead".
I think serious reform to what the republican party stands for would attract younger voters – but at the same time, that would just make them into another democratic party.

When you hear about the general dissatisfaction with the Republican party by the public and how many Republicans are poised to lose their seats in this election, what do you attribute this to?
P.S. Please try and refrain from making comments about the evils of Socialism or how Obama is going to single-handedly destroy the United States. I want to hear about YOUR party and how you justify your support of them.
due to propaganda the iraq war has become extremely unpopular and the economy is in a downturn but its not due to the iraq war. we also have a 10 trillion dollar national debt all under a republican president. the liberal media propaganda machine is also tying every republican running for election to bush. im watching it being done in my own state, john sununu and jeb bradley are running for president and i see commercials every day about how theyre "just like bush"
The strangest McCain campaign ad yet.

Is McCain a better candidate than GWB was? If not he was, someone else of course should be there but, anyway, it’s for sure McCain took him to reach 72 to figure out him to be so. How long will he take to be able to figure out what to do getting all of his republican senators convinced? He may differ on Bush’s economic policies but how many of republicans do really? McCain will have to have different views on lot many issues, but how many of republicans will he find beside him in the end?
ONLY THE COMMUNIST PARTY BACKS OBAMA…

It seems that athletes are quick to label themselves Republicans because of their millionaire contracts although they were raised Democrats and for the most part, think like Democrats. Are they misguided or are they right on target in thinking that their wealth moves them over to the Republican side?
It would appear that there is more, much more, than just money (if that is really an issue) separating the two parties. What do you think?
money has some part, also religious views, different views on social concerns also play a part, and how much part the government should have directly in people’s lives. I know there is so much more but I am not the most knowledgeable person on this subject.
No, I’m not a Republican trying to pull away from the party, after last night’s debacle in D.C. I’ve never been a Republican.
A modern republican is not a conservative. The two are mutually exclusive. Bush and Cheney and McCain believe in huge government and control of everyone’s lives and corporate control of policy. A traditional conservative is closer to a libertarian.

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) stood his ground and joined the twenty-or-so other Republicans that have decided to vote with the House Democrats in favor of a non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns President Bush’s troop surge.
Speaking of Bush, Congressman Paul was very straight-forward in his displeasure for Bush’s “demented philosophy of conquest.” Here is a portion of his floor speech:
RON PAUL: “In recent decades, our policies have been driven by neoconservative empire radicalism; profiteering in the military industrial complex; misplaced do-good internationalism; mercantilistic notions regarding the need to control natural resources; and blind loyalty to various governments in the Middle East.”
You can add Ron Paul’s name to the small list of the few level-headed Republicans left in Congress.
