    If you were caught, …
    If you were caught, you were caught Maxine Waters, Barney Frank & Lacy Clay! Quit making everything into a racial issue. You were wrong and you got caught. Meeks needs to stop getting all brand new too. You up, it all collapsed, and you don’t want to take responsibility. That is the whole game. Nothing more.

    @capatilist if you …
    @capatilist if you took the GSEs out of the equation and still had the same amount of investment capital looking for a place to make money we still would have had a real estate boom. So no Ideologically I think you are wrong. The #1 culprit should be the Ratings Agencies that signed off all the AAA ratings that fooled investors into pumping all that capital into MBSs. No Capital no BOOM plain and simple.

  3. capatilist Says:

    it is nothing but …
    it is nothing but ideological not to admit that fannie and freddie had a huge hand in the meltdown. if you won’t admit it, then you are completely blinded by ideology.

    @1ectoplasm so if …
    @1ectoplasm so if they do win what policies do you think they have that will work? I hear the GOP set up a website so you can give them input on what they should do. That has to be far worse than trying to get a Church committee to chose a color of carpet. So would you think they are trying to be inclusive or they have no idea what to do?

  5. 1ectoplasm Says:

    Wow, their is …
    Wow, their is light at the end of that rabbit hole! Counting the days of their demise! Yessiree & gleefully so! Cat, I hear there is room for a Cheshire cat on the other side or would you rather just stay up in that tree?……as the pendulum swings……..

    @danco35 yeah I am …
    @danco35 yeah I am sure all those mortgage brokers, investment bankers, ratings agencies and sovereign wealth fund managers are all Democrats. Boy you nailed the cause of the crisis.

  7. danco35 Says:

    In simple terms, …
    In simple terms, the Dems gamed the system and got rich while under the guise of helping the poor reach the American dream of home ownership.
    The Euro-socialist countries are failing, becasue they are running out of other peoples money and they made promises they cannot keep.
    The free market, capitalist system works, it made America the strongest nation in the world, and now it will make China and Russia the strongest nations in the world.

    @NCMan28025 Do some …
    @NCMan28025 Do some homework and see how Bush stuffed Freddie and Fannie to the gills with toxic mortgages with his mortgage rescue. As bad as that sounds it was the best fix at the time.

    my friend calls predsident obamba a nigger? waht does this word mean does it mean good things?

  10. reddingbum Says:

    The most damning …
    The most damning evidence against your little conspiracy theory are the economic numbers and the FACT that Greenspan and bankers have testified TWICE before congress on the financial meltdown and not ONE time did they mention the CRA, loans to the poor, having to make loans, too much regulation, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. NOT ONE TIME! They have mentioned Glass Steagall, Commodity Futures Trading Commission Act, low interest rates, lack of regulation, greed and DERIVATIVES!

    @NCMan28025 Filthy …
    @NCMan28025 Filthy Budapest Hitler employee who should be raked over the coals by all countries and put on a floating timber raft with no food, water, motor or sail in the middle of the Atlantic! I want that European trash to stand trial & then stuff his dead carcass with all those shadow party minions of destructon he has in play! Alinsky chaos bastard! Talk about a media conspiritor whore! Georgie Porgie Soros is the DEVIL!

  12. john777316 Says:

    during that year’s …
    during that year’s vice presidential debate, Palin told Joe Biden, “You even called drilling — safe, environmentally-friendly drilling offshore — as raping the outer continental shelf. There — with new technology, with tiny footprints even on land, it is safe to drill and we need to do more of that.

  13. john777316 Says:

    @NCMan28025 Does he …
    @NCMan28025 Does he have to it is very apparent on talk radio and Fox news that he does own the GOP so no need to announce it.

  14. john777316 Says:

    @NCMan28025 You are …
    @NCMan28025 You are so right except for the fact that 80% of all sub prime mortgages were funded by institutions not under the CRA. It was the huge increase of sovereign funds that gave the market so much liquidity that it started to ignore all risk. It was the rest of the world wanting to invest in the US housing marked that caused the bubble. Purely Free Market forces that everybody new that when it ended it would end in a bad way.

  15. NCMan28025 Says:

    @mayarose354 …
    @mayarose354 Because Dems have a $50 billion bailout fund in the bill. Not to mention that Freddie and Fannie will not be regulated by this bill. Take out the endless bailouts and add Fannie and Freddie and the Repubs would vote for it. Not to mention that Obama has refused to appoint an Inspector General to oversee Fannie and Freddie.

  16. NCMan28025 Says:

    @1ectoplasm and …
    @1ectoplasm and Murdoch never made a bold claim like Soros: “I own the Democratic Party.”

  17. NCMan28025 Says:

    @john777316 George …
    @john777316 George Soros

  18. NCMan28025 Says:

    @reddingbum …
    @reddingbum Politicians, big banks, hedge fund managers and these two GSEs are responsible. This is why Obama has appointed an Inspector General to oversee Freddie and Fannie. Not to mention Rahm Emanuel was on the board of directors as Freddie cooked their books (he made millions). Then we had Barney Frank and his boy-toy Herb Moses (Fannie Mae executive). It’s a mess.

  19. NCMan28025 Says:

    @john777316 …
    @john777316 American Reinvestment Act=Jimmy Carter. Repealing of Glass-Steagal=Bill Clinton. Freddie and Fannie are safe and there is no crisis=Barney Frank and the entire Democratic Party. Giving unqualified individuals home mortgages without any credit, bad credit, no job and no downpayment and forcing banks to back them=Democrats. Did you not watch this video and hear those words from DEMOCRATS?

  20. NCMan28025 Says:

    @john777316 Thanks …
    @john777316 Thanks for NOT naming another system better than capitalism. The American inventors who came up with the brilliant ideas and inventions are what made this country…not the government. Most people with common sense know big government isn’t the answer, its the problem. The Constitution was written to control big government (see Article One, Sec. 8 and the 10th amendment)

  21. john777316 Says:

    @NCMan28025 …
    @NCMan28025 Capitalism and the US government made this country what it is. The majority of all innovations were funded by the US tax payer. Business rarely spent the money to develop new technology. They only did when the US government subsidized them so they could think outside the box. Bill Gates never would have had a computer to put Windows in if it was not for US government funding the initial research.

  22. NCMan28025 Says:

    @john777316 Except …
    @john777316 Except for the majority is white…according to the US Census Bureau. Bush was a Progressive just like Clinton was and Obama is. Capitalism has kept our country going for 234 years. Name another system that’s more efficient?

  23. UberKrispy Says:

    @NCMan28025 …
    @NCMan28025 right! That never happened when Bush was president. Except for 9/11 and that was Clinton’s fault

  24. myralangerhas Says:

    So funny, red. …
    So funny, red. For someone to be left of center and so concerned with the media is kinda silly. Unemployment goes up and Newsweek CNN, MSNBC and US News talk about what great news it is. In Fox, you have one demon. You ignore all else. Watch a Couric, Schieffer, Lauer interview with Obama. They sound like they are soliciting sexual acts. Lets talk about other media outlets. All you can say is Fox.
