I agree 100%, if you don’t place a vote you cant whinge. But I will say it is not a DUTY to vote. I do have a right to vote however I wish, as long as I fulfill my legal obligations by attending the booth. My DUTY as a citizen is to ensure I do not break the law or interfere with the comfort of others. That is EXACTLY why it is not compulsory to vote because Australia is a Democracy. I have the right to express my opinion (vote) any way I see fit.
