The former Republican gov did the same thing! He even helped the state by emptying the treasury into the pockets of his former supporters! What a guy!
P.S. Why don’t we ever indict any of these thieves?

Expenses have to be paid. You have schools, you have roads, you have water filtration systems. As the tax base gets smaller the share per tax payer goes up, its just simple math. Its unfortunate but thats the way it is. You can let everything fall apart if you want, no schools, toxic sewer water to drink, roads like Mexico…which has very low taxes precisely because they let everything fall apart so that the rich can stay rich and thats why people struggle to come here. So what Michigan needs is to quit wasting money on enforcing victimless crimes, it could probably save half of what it spends on courts, police, and prisons, and give some incentive to new tech businesses to set up there. And we all need national health care–thats why even Ontario on its own is producing more cars than all of Michigan–the extra cost of providing for health coverage for auto workers makes Michigan uncompetitive. But you conservatives always kill national health care because it cuts profits to the insurance companies you love so much.

They are cutting many programs in the schools and are desperately trying to keep them funded. I live in a red state and my property tax has gone up by 1/3. The federal tax cuts have resulted in less federal grants for the states. Therefore, your federal tax cut is being eaten up by higher taxes within the states. I’m curious how many states have had the same thing happen. Do you have another solution for funding the schools without more tax money? They still have to be funded.
