yes it damage it … yes it damage it and if you want to make your bike go faster just get a tav look it up there great i have one on this bike now they give you so much power and speed it ran me about $200 but it was the best $200 i ever spent! got my bike about 55 no lie its crazy!

thanks for posting this, i followed the advice that many of these videos gave of messing with the governor and now i’m in a load of trouble because apparently your supposed to mess with the THROTTLE GOVERNOR. There is a difference people. The actual governor should not be messed with for it is mainly for idling purposes. Whatever you do dont mess with any of the springs on the governor, you might end up redlining at idle like i am now. Now i have to find some way to replace the springs
Two things fail on … Two things fail on Chinese GX 200 clones.
The rods break and the flywheels explode.
Kart racers run billet rods and fly wheels for safety on modified engines. Generaly a clone will run into valve float before the RPMs burst the flywheel. Thye are considered safe to race box stock because very few have burst.
Cheap Chinese cast iron under tension = trouble at High RPM.
Rods come out of the top of the engines and can rupture the tank.

To me that looked … To me that looked like a throttle stop, nothing to do with the “governor”. But couldnt tell much from the crappy video. If you really want to do something. Find the actual governor arm coming out of the block and disconnect any link it has to the throttle. Then you won’t have to worry about any governor.
