@redbeard47229 – States have the same rights to “seceede” from the “Union” as counties do from States, and cities do from counties, and neighborhoods do from cities, and city blocks do from neighborhoods, and the house on the street does from the street. And when you advocate dissolution, that is what you end up with. The process is called “Balkanizaiton”. It destroys countries and turns them into little serf states to later invading powers. Secessionism is dumb as rocks.

Texas does have the right to secede, they never gave in when they joined the union. It’s in their constitution and agreement with the US corrupt government when they joined as the only state to ever be a free republic before it was a State.

Before joining the union in 1845, Texas was a sovereign, recognized, independent nation. We were annexed to the U.S. by a congressional resolution. International standards required that we be annexed by treaty and that never happened. Our last binding vote in 1861 was to secede from the union. The union has continued to fail us and is now trying to steal Texas wealth to support their failed policies.

It is a wonder so many complain it would be illegal. Yet, when USA was founded, it was illegal for it to leave the British Empire. When Texas left Mexico, I think that was illegal also. So what?
Why are so many upset that Texas may decide we are better off without the rest of the country. Yet, in the end, it does not matter what anyone NOT in Texas says that matters, it is what her citizens decide to do. Your opinions, after all do not matter nor will it effect what we decide to do.
