I think we agree on a lot, but no, I don’t want people to be 100% unselfish, we wouldn’t survive. I wóuld like them to try to be unselfish and to make balanced decisions. It’s not a black-or-white thing.
By the way, I’m an atheist, I have been tempted many times, I’ve been cheated a few times and broke up, but I have néver cheated on my partner(s) and never will.
And I’ve never been interviewed by a mistress about abstinence and family values.

It might very well be that you know Mr.Souders better than I do. and there is possibly a lot of good things he did.
But is Tiger Woods or any other of those cheaters “a staunch advocate of abstinence education and family values”?
(1) Abstinence doesn’t work and
(2) so called family values create as much bad (dom. violence, incest) as good and
(3) I don’t advocated things and do the opposite at the same time, you probably don’t either. Noone should. These two people? Hilarious!

For your information, Mark Souder used to attend our Church. Our current minister remembers attending Bible studies led by him. So you think he intended to cheat on his wife from the beginning? Just because you believe in abstinence does not mean cannot be tempted. I think this could happen to anybody. Does Spitzer still believe in traditional marriage? How about Tiger Woods? He dedicated his life to something he obviously didnt believe in. More and more people that are stongly anti-gay, anti-choice or pro-abstinence turn out “do as I say, don’t do as I do”. One after an other is a terrible powerseeking hypocrit. The fact that he confesses, doesn’t mean he’s of the hook. And he still keeps defending points he obviously doesn’t believe in. There is no proof that he was hypocritical that you showed. He was not found out, he confessed. And he didn’t say that it wasn’t his fault, He accepted full responsibility for it. In his own words. What I cannot figure out is why you were mocking him during his resignation speech. He was genuinely sorry for his sins, and that contrasted with the love he felt from his supporters, moved him to tears. How heartless do you have to be to make fun if him when he is in such obvious turmoil?
