@EmpathyWorks
And … @EmpathyWorks
And the mostly Democtaric congress refusing to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and other home loan lenders from lending to people with poor credit despite Bush repeatedly trying to get them to do so had nothing to do with the economy crashing back in ‘08
Sure I understand how you may think that. The fact is though many groups have done these studies. Thats not to say dems dont care about the poor, of course they do, they just think the federal government is the best way to help people out. We disagree.
@ubersoxfanjpm
… @ubersoxfanjpm
Again factually wrong. A greater percentage of income has nothing to do with how much you make. And there is no law (correct me if I am wrong) that says only republicans get tax breaks giving to charity. Both groups have the same opportunity to give but one group chooses to give more. I know democrats care about the poor too, they just think its the federal government that is the best way to give to people. Hope I clarified that point.
@ryinski2 the … @ryinski2 the wealthy still pay a disproportionate amount of taxes, much more than anyone else. also it was the Bush tax cuts which got us out of the recession clinton left. as for the war, democrats voted for it too. that’s what voting records are for. sure he raised our deficit, obama quadrupled it
@RoidinRichie Sure … @RoidinRichie Sure, the Democrats are dirt-bags like any politicians but insinuating that their year of control ruined the economy is just dumb. The republicans have been deregulating the out of everything and cutting taxes for the wealthy for decades. They started 2 illegitimate wars that the US is still in after announcing the pentagon had lost $2.3 trillion of taxpayer money. I suppose the Democrats are to blame for all that too.
@EmpathyWorks you … @EmpathyWorks you do realize democrats have controlled congress since 2007 right? funny how the economy didn’t turn to until they got in
Our industries has … Our industries has the toughest regulations in the world & other countries don’t come close. We could do a lot more if we wanted, but our government wants you to believe that we ain’t doing enough & that’s just not true. How money cell phones have you had? What did you do with the old one? What about everything else you have bought & used? Did you recycle those things? Now think of places in Asia that don’t recycle at all. There are simpler solutions to our problems from every day Amraricans
Let’s talk taxes & … Let’s talk taxes & wellfare. If our industry wasn’t taxed so much & were allowed to pay a reasonable salary, then they’d more likely stay here & our money would as well. If you didn’t have to pay so much in taxes, don’t you think that then you’d be able to afford to pay for your own health care? It used to be that you were responsible for your welfare. Now we have people that are on it & are staying on it. It was supposed to be temporary & we are now paying for it. Same as social security.
It used to be about … It used to be about honor & a handshake, but now lawyers & greed rule the day. In the 70s we had solutions to our dependence on oil & the oil companies got in the way. In the 80s we had solar panels, but they were rally expensive! They aren’t that bad now, so why aren’t more people using them? Now we are paying union workers more than we can afford at our factories, but some say, why don’t CEO’s take less money & pay thier workers more? I agree to some extent, but it would only go so far.
Both parties are … Both parties are responsible for this & we need to get them all out. We need people in that listen to us, not special intrests, union big wigs, or the UN. Oprah Winfrey gave Barrak a huge some of money instead of giving it to people who could use it to escape their poverty. She could have built a school for kids in need & give job education or employment to the parents of those kids. Now just imagine that every celeb would do this. I would have done it if I had as much. People do it all the time
to taking the time … to taking the time out of our lives & become once again “We The People”. You see, you are ultimately responsible for your life, not the government. There job is to protect from outside invasion, print money {backed up by something that is equal to what they print}, & just a few others that have nothing to do with healthcare. It is on you to get it! The taxes we pay now are mostly unconstitutional & if they were to be taken away then we would be able to afford our own healthcare.
How many here have … How many here have read & understand the constitution? If you haven’t then I suggest that you do! That is our country. That is what allowed you to voice your opinion. If you live here legally you are protected by those words. If just one of these words are allowed to be messed with, every right you have is lost! If our founders believed in socialism, they would’ve used that form of government. They didn’t. They actually came up with a new one. It worked & it would still work if we would go back
@EmpathyWorks You … @EmpathyWorks You don’t have to help. The citizens of this great country will make their own decisions based on how well our current POTUS keeps his word. And most of us can do that without profanity in every sentence.
So to put it in a … So to put it in a nutshell simply because the Dems are in washington now we should hold them accountable and vote Republican?!? You the country up too ASSHOLES! Neither party is worthy of my vote anymore. This government has become the biggest farce in human history. The average age of a nation state is 200 years. The US is about 220 years old.. Coincidence?
