There are several other organizational changes the GOP will need to consider to regain credibility and integrity. More than new faces, the future requires substance. Rhetorical pandering to gender and race is feeble strategy.

The campaign of President Elect Barack Obama is a window into the future. A more intellectual voter is demanding contemporary skill sets. Technology enhances political opportunities.

Republican Party leaders need to rely more on the empirical truth than traditional whimsical wishes.

If Jindal or Palin were ready either would have been the presidential nominee in 2008. The answer is none of the above.

I doubt they would vote for Jindal even though he’s 10x smarter than Palin or they’ll ever be

However,if he does get the nomination by some miracle,I don’t think he’ll win because he’s extreme on abortion like Palin

If he keeps the election about the issues like the economy and things like that,he might pull it off

Yes, her inexperience was her most prominent attribute, but it wasn’t her only attribute. She is intelligent, strongwilled, determined, and motivated. That her inexperience is overshadowing all of that does not change the fact that it exists.

She has the talent, but it is raw and undisciplined. She needs to take time to work on her weaknesses and expand her strengths. She is a diamond in the rough, but she is still in the rough.

And she will not be ready in 2012, and few people would give her a chance in 2012 anyway. She should take some time, 2016 at the absolute earliest, before she should try again. At that point, she can credibly say that she has developed the experience to handle the Presidency. I doubt that many would believe her, but I believe the majority of Americans would be convinced enough to give her another chance to prove she has grown to that point. Its up to her after that to actually prove it.

As to your question, while Palin does show promise that she can be something (not definite, but possible), Jindal is definitely much farther along and is definitely the more qualified candidate to take the lead for the Republican Party.

But one must remember that leadership in a political party is not just one person. The Democrats have Barack Obama, but they also have Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, among others.

The Republicans have had Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, John McCain, Rudy Guiliani, and so on in the past.

There may always be a frontman, and Jindal is the most likely one now with Mitt Romney being another possibility, but its more a group with a most prominent member rather than just one person.
