Maybe because Obama was afraid to allow Biden much attention..? He still seems to be kept under wraps.

She is young, attractive and represents change.
Just like Obama, only for rednecks instead of college dropouts.

She is young and outside the political mainstream. She is almost like President Reagan in some regards.

Because everything she said was a blast.

    I laughed my arse off.

She ought to consider stand up comedy.

Joe Biden had to be hushed up because he made the racist comment that Obama was "clean cut and articulate" just before he was picked as Obama’s running mate.

That inflammatory comment was considered so outrageous that he was not permitted to speak for the rest of the campaign.

Geraldine Ferraro got a lot of attention in 1984 because women are never seen on the major national party tickets as VP candidates. Palin was supposed to be the Republican effort to woo disaffected Hillary supporters. That didn’t work out well.

Republicans gave a lot of attention to Palin and hyped her candidacy until they realized what an embarrassing fool she was, but by then it was too late.

Because she was perceived as "different". The Repugs were so desperate that they’d have run a penguin for VP if they hadn’t found that airhead from Alaska…and a substantial portion of the voting public is so stupid they’d have voted for the fuggin’ penguin!

Because she was brought in to grab peoples attention when the race was turning one sided (she did what she was meant to do) where as Biden was brought in to roll with the tide in which he does very well.. They both had different purposes and they both did exactly what they were meant to do.

McCain was perceived as old, stable and part of the old government so Palin was brought in to bring the appearance of new life and new ideas to Washington..

Obama was already the new life with new ideas so Biden was brought in to bring the appearance of stability to Obamas team.

It was as simple as that. The problem was the liberal media turned the Palin choice into a feeding frenzy by turning it into an attack of Palin and her family, not her political beliefs and never allowed either VP candidates to place their own political opinions into the campaigns.. It’s pretty sad when our choices are made for us by the media and we are only allowed to hear WHAT the media deems as important or interesting and HOW the media decides they want to present it or in other words what sells the most papers for them. .
